Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the AltFlag browser extension ("Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, NileRobot ("Licensor") grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

3.1 Database Protection

Extract, scrape, or harvest any data from the embedded website database
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software or any part thereof
Attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or data structures of the database
Copy, redistribute, or republish the database content in any form
Create derivative works based on the database

3.2 Software Protection

Modify, adapt, or alter the Software without written permission
Remove or alter any copyright notices, trademarks, or other proprietary markings
Sell, license, sublicense, or distribute the Software for commercial purposes
Use the Software to develop competing products or services
Circumvent any technical protection measures in the Software

3.3 Usage Restrictions

Use the Software for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Misrepresent your affiliation with the Software or its creators
Impersonate the Software creators or claim ownership of any part of the Software

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Ownership

The Software, including but not limited to all code, design, graphics, documentation, and the embedded website database, is the exclusive property of NileRobot and is protected by copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

4.2 Database Rights

The website database embedded in the Software represents significant investment in compilation, verification, and organization. This database is protected as:

A compilation under copyright law
A trade secret under applicable trade secret laws
Proprietary data subject to contractual protection

4.3 Trademarks

"AltFlag" and the AltFlag logo are trademarks of NileRobot. You may not use these marks without prior written permission.

5. Privacy

Your use of the Software is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Software processes all data locally on your device and does not collect or transmit any personal information.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. THE LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

The Software will meet your requirements
The Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
The database will be accurate, complete, or current

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Licensor from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Software or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may terminate this license at any time by uninstalling the Software and destroying all copies.

9.2 Termination by Licensor

The Licensor may terminate this license immediately if you breach any provision of these Terms.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflicts of law principles.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Licensor regarding the Software and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

13. Changes to Terms

The Licensor reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
